Fusion Sponsors Upcoming Race Night for Alzheimer’s Research UK

Fusion Global Business Solutions is pleased to sponsor the upcoming Race Night in aid of Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Organised by Sara Morley, our BMC Digital Service Operations Specialist, the event is set to be a fantastic evening with participation of 8 local companies individually sponsoring each race. Attendees will have the opportunity to bet on each race shown throughout the evening, with half the proceeds raised being donated to Alzheimer’s Research UK and the other half paid out to the winners.

Sara commented, “My mum was diagnosed at age 57, she was a geography teacher at a local secondary school, she started to forget the most basic things so we knew there was a problem, getting her diagnosed wasn’t a simple matter either as most doctors don’t readily expect Alzheimer’s in someone of mums age. At a time when she should have been looking forward to retiring and hanging up her pencil case, we were now faced with completely different life choices. Dementia is an indiscriminate disease and statistics tell us that in the next 40 years, the number of people living with dementia will have increased by over 200% from 50 million to 152 million, that’s why research into finding a cure is more important than ever, it can’t help my mum, but maybe it will help someone else’s mum!”

John Mohan, CEO at Fusion, commented, “Dementia is an issue that effects everybody in some manner or fashion, be it a family member, a friend or work colleague. Don’t be afraid to reach out and help. We are happy to contribute to such a worthy cause.”

The event will take place on the 28th September from 7:30pm at the Kings Langley Services Club in Hertfordshire. There will also be a live auction and raffle prizes never seen before on this scale. If you are in the area and fancy a flutter, a chance to win some great prizes as well as enjoying a wonderful evening to raise money to help defeat dementia, then please contact Sara Morley on 07943 285341 for more details.
