Fusion & VIPCON join forces

New major milestone reached as we announce that VIPCON GmbH joins the Fusion family to strengthen global growth strategy. Expansion into Germany provides footholds in Munich, Frankfurt and Hamburg as the next step for Fusion in a series of planned moves into new international markets.

LONDON – August 1st, 2019 – Service management company and BMC Software experts, Fusion Global Business Solutions, have today announced they are joining forces with VIPCON GmbH in Germany.

In April 2019, UK based Fusion Global Business Solutions announced their intention to acquire VIPCON GbmbH in Germany. The transaction officially completed in Munich, Germany, on July 31st, 2019. This strategic move from Fusion is aligned with its business strategy of glocalization – to provide global coverage combined with local market expertise for both BMC and end customers.

The development builds on a period of significant international growth for Fusion, having already opened wholly owned offices in the US in 2015 (New York and Chicago), India in 2018 (Indore) and Iberia in 2018 (Madrid).

A presence in the technology hub of Munich as well as the major cities of Frankfurt and Hamburg complements Fusion’s existing network which spans the UK, North America, mainland Europe and Asia. This enables them to operate as a one-stop shop and deliver a seamless service across international markets.

The deal is significant as it is the largest between two BMC partners to date and cements Fusion’s position as one of BMC’s largest partners with a global presence.

Commenting on the deal, John Mohan, Fusion CEO said: “This is a deal that is being driven by growth and change in the technology marketplace including digitalization, cloud adoption, uptick in AI and changing demands in user experience and service expectations. Fusion and VIPCON not only have shared domain expertise in service management, but a shared vision for the future around collaboration, product innovation and servicing both BMC and end users. I am looking forward to what we can achieve by working together.”

VIPCON Managing Director Conni Kunz said: “Bringing our companies together creates many benefits for both BMC and end customers, from local market and pre-sales support to the ability to leverage a diverse skill set and a ‘best fit’ commercial model. Fusion and VIPCON will be working closely together to develop a new range of products and services.”

BMC Software Area Vice President of Indirect Sales EMEA, Ollie Norman, commented: “We are delighted to see two BMC partners join together to become a single global partner, something which signifies growth in the BMC ecosystem.  There is real benefit in working with a partner who matches our international footprint whilst applying local market knowledge and expertise, which is fundamental to the successful implementation of global projects. Fusion and VIPCON are both highly regarded partners and we look forward to our continued collaboration to help our customers transform their businesses.”

Current joint Managing Director Andi Kunz will assume a new role as Product and Innovation Director for Fusion and will join their board. Conni Kunz will take over sole responsibility as Managing Director of VIPCON.

VIPCON GmbH will retain its identity as VIPCON and become “a Member of Fusion GBS”.
