About the role

The Project Manager takes the lead role of planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing assigned Projects. The Project Manager is accountable for each assigned Project's Profit and Loss, Scope, Team and its success or failure. Responsibilities include ensuring that the scope and course of a Project is on track and communicated to both stakeholders and the Project Team together with the management of Issues, Risks and Project Change Requests. A Senior Project Manager's assigned Projects will be larger and more complex compared with those assigned to Project Manager.

 

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Able to work with and manager 3rd party suppliers and offshore resources
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers on their projects
  • Approve and control time spent on project by resource
  • Complete financial report of each project on a monthly basis
  • Coordinate internal and external reports, gather, analyse and summarize data and information for project teams
  • Develop and maintain of project tools, templates and process
  • Develop positive working relationships in a distributed team, and to create effective collaboration 
    with direct and extended team members
  • Evaluate and monitor the performance and efficiency of projects to ensure that timelines are met
  • Evaluate the progress of the project and communicate regular updates to project teams and company leadership
  • Interact and communicate with customers to drive client value
  • Interfaces with the project team to discuss progress as well as identifying opportunities for 
    improvement
  • Internal project financing in particular forecasting and revenue recognition aspects
  • Manage large or multiple medium projects in a commercial environment
  • Monitor timesheet completion; assist and/or train staff as required
  • Monitor project budgets; reviewing reports and program expenses to determine if allocated funds 
    are used appropriately
  • Perform day to day technical management of a delivery team – assigning tasks, monitoring progress 
    and managing workload and project risks
  • Stakeholder management and presentation skills
  • Status reporting on assignments and project timelines
  • Will take part and enforce of the development of project methodology dedicated to Fusion GBS
  • Work in a pressurised development and customer environment
  • Work with offshore companies
  • Together with the respective client you have to permanently control in how far agreed or desired 
    goals of the consultation have already been achieved
  • Work with Project Management Office procedures
  • Work closely with Fusion GBS Customers, Pre-Sales and other FPS team members
  • Work as part of a project team to help deliver a successful project
  • Serve as a liaison point between stakeholders and users
  • Help Fusion GBS manage competing resources and priorities
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects

    Fusion consultants to not only operate the service, but also to derive value and exploit the capability

Experience

  • 3+ Years in IT Business
  • 6+ Years Managing and delivering projects
  • 6+ Years Technical Lead on Relevant IT projects

 

Qualifications / Certifications 

Required

  • Project Management Foundation Level (e.g. Prince2 Foundation)
  • Project Management Practitioner Level (e.g. Prince2 Practitioner)
  • ITIL Foundation
  •  BMC Xcelerate Certification

 

Desirable

  • Project Management Expert Level (e.g. Prince2 Expert)
  • Program Management Foundation Level (e.g. MSP Foundation)
  • Program Management Practitioner Level (e.g. MSP Practitioner)
  • ITIL Strategic Leader (ITIL SL)
  • Certified Associate (or equivalent capability) in relevant Technology (or technologies).
