Our Graduate Journeys
Stephanie Jungwirth, Accounting Specialist
Bachelor degrees: iba internationale Berufsakademie – in Munich,
Apprenticeship: IHK München Oberbayern – in Munich

"My journey at Fusion GBS began in 2018. After completing my Fachabitur (specialised secondary school diploma), I started looking for an apprenticeship and discovered Fusion GBS on the usual job portals. From my very first interview with Conni, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The friendly, family-like atmosphere immediately convinced me that Fusion GBS was the right place for me.
Originally, I had applied for an apprenticeship as an office management assistant. However, thanks to Fusion a new opportunity came up: a dual degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing communication and PR. At the same time, I was able to successfully complete my office management apprenticeship.
During my apprenticeship I gained experience in all departments – from Finance to Marketing, Sales, and even Executive Management. Early on, I realised that I was particularly drawn to the Finance department. After completing my bachelor’s degree and apprenticeship, this interest was shared by Carmen and Conni and in 2021 I joined the Finance Team.
Since then, I’ve had the chance to continuously expand my knowledge, take on responsibilities, and learn every day. The time during my studies and apprenticeship wasn’t always easy, but Fusion GBS supported me every step on my way. This support helped me balance work and study successfully, and it has given me the confidence to take on my next professional challenge. Starting in October 2025, I will begin further training to become a Certified Management Accountant – a step I am looking forward to."
Bastian Albrecht, BMC Solution Architect and Senior Consultant
B.Sc. in IT Service Management, Germany
M.Sc. in Media Informatics, Germany

"My name is Basti, I’m 34 years old, and I’ve been with Fusion GBS since 2018. I work as a BMC Solution Architect and Senior Consultant at Fusion GBS, specialising in IT Service Management—currently on a project with Porsche.
My journey hasn’t been about having the “perfect” toolkit from day one. I joined Fusion GBS on a friend’s recommendation and entered the BMC world with no prior experience. What made the difference was pace: I committed to learning quickly, delivering early value, and refining solutions through real customer feedback.
I started out as a Junior Consultant, then moved into Consultant, Senior Consultant, and finally Solution Architect by consistently transforming business challenges into simple, scalable solutions. Working on site accelerated my progress—listening to users, mapping processes, and translating needs into clean BMC designs.
Academically, I hold a B.Sc. in IT Service Management and an M.Sc. in Media Informatics, which enables me to bridge product architecture with user experience and change management. Today, I lead and co-design BMC implementations that reduce friction, standardise processes, and make support teams measurably more efficient.
The common thread in my career is simple: say yes, learn fast, and deliver. Often, your ability to learn quickly is more valuable than any single tool listed on your CV.
Fusion GBS has consistently challenged and supported me, helping me grow along the way. If I had the chance, I’d do it all over again.
Advice to StudentsYou can learn anything. Your current skillset doesn’t set your ceiling—your willingness to learn does. Say yes, learn quickly, and get as close as possible to real customers and real problems."

Hochschule Schmalkalden in IT-Servicemanagement, Germany

"I joined the R&D department and had the chance to work on building a product from scratch. We needed a solution that worked out of the box, without a lot of customisations in software products, and can be reused for different customer needs.
My focus wasn’t on coding, but I liked the challenge of finding a simple way to solve complicated integration problems. I broke things down into smaller parts and turned them into a product we could provide to our customers.
What really made a difference, was my colleagues — they’re always ready to share their knowledge, talk about new tech, and exchange ideas. That teamwork made solving hard problems easier and gave me new inspiration.
It showed me how satisfying it is to turn something complex into something simple that others can use. That’s why I chose this department and why I still enjoy working here"
In Their Own Words
Fusion GBS has created a truly supportive and welcoming environment, even while working remotely. Joining after university gave me valuable insight into the working world, with a great balance of independence and collaboration. Fusion GBS has helped me develop skills I’ll use for life, and the flexibility means I can complete my part-time master’s alongside, a chance I’m very grateful for.
Contracts Assistant, Durham University
When I joined Fusion GBS, I received plenty of training and support to get up to speed quickly. No two days are the same, and while I mainly work remotely, I really value the regular catch-ups and meeting colleagues face-to-face. Everyone is supportive, and I’ve learned that developing soft skills is just as important as technical expertise.
Consultant Services, Coventry University
Service Management is something we all use—like when you ring your phone company to sort out an issue. If you want to make a difference and support others, joining this team is a great opportunity. Communication is key, and with focus you can get to grips with BMC products in around six months, though everyone’s journey is different. I’ve been in Presales for several years now and I’m still learning every day.
Presales Consultant, FOM Munich
Fusion GBS was my first job after university, and I’ve now been here 10 years. The interview was relaxed and friendly, so my advice is not to overthink it—mistakes are part of learning. Within months I completed BMC training, worked on projects, and by the end of my first year I was confident speaking with customers. I’m originally from Poland, now based in the UK, and the journey has been both challenging and rewarding.
Senior Consultant, University of London
I joined Fusion GBS through the graduate scheme and now work in Innovations, supporting departments from coding and data to business insight. What I value most is the smart, flexible, and responsible way of working. Within six months I was already visiting customers, and throughout my journey I’ve always felt fully supported by the team.
