Job Title: 

Junior Solution Consultant

 

Job Description:

The Junior Solution Consultant will support the Solution Consulting function in positioning Fusion services and ServiceNow and BMC product solutions to customers. Working closely with senior members of the team, they will assist with customer discovery, demo preparation, proposal development, and solution 
shaping activities. This role is designed to build capability towards becoming a trusted advisor by developing technical understanding, solution consulting competencies, and customer-facing skills


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting senior presales consultants in presenting the value, benefits, features and functionality of Fusion services and defined BMC product areas to customers.
  • Assisting in the configuration of demo environments and tailoring them to align with customer outcomes.
  • Helping deliver proof-of-values by supporting configuration, testing, data preparation and documentation.
  • Participating in discovery sessions with customers to understand business, IT, and service management requirements.
  • Assisting in writing sections of proposals, statements of work, customer roadmaps, and bid responses.
  • Supporting bid management activities including risk logging, shaping solution outlines, and gathering required evidence.
  • Conducting basic competitive and market research to support solution positioning.
  • Collaborating with project teams and technical specialists to understand solution capabilities and implementation approaches.
  • Building foundational knowledge of Service Management product suites through hands-on configuration tasks under guidance.
  • Supporting testing, validation, and quality assurance activities for demo or PoV environments.
  • Maintaining documentation relating to demo configurations, reusable assets, or technical steps taken.
  • Staying informed of emerging product features, industry best practices, and Fusion service offerings.
  • Demonstrating professionalism, organisation and good interpersonal skills when working with customers and internal teams.


Experience:

  • Previous software development experience in one or more of the following (Python, Java, Scala, R)
  • Data Science experience
  • Experience of using business analysis techniques 

 

Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) 

 

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence engaging with customers.
  • Ability to understand technical information and translate it into business value.
  • Attention to detail, structured thinking, and strong problem-solving capability.
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organise work, manage deadlines, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Keen to learn, proactive, adaptable, and curious.

Qualifications:

  • 1st, 2:1 or Master’s degree in Maths, Physics, Computer Science or equivalent qualification
