About the role

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will ensure the stability and efficiency of our IT systems while providing top-class support to our end-users. You will work with various technologies, including Office 365, Active Directory, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Intune, and Cloud Platforms. You will also ensure that all technology systems are efficient, secure, and reliable while supporting internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily operations of the IT department and managing a team of IT professionals if required
  • Server and Desktop deployments
  • Service Desk and Change Management process
  • Lifecycle Management
  • Availability and Performance Management
  • Maintain and manage key third-party relationships
• Ensure the compliance, security and integrity of all company data and information systems
• Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers
• Develop and maintain IT-related documentation, including user manuals and technical specifications
• Manage the key elements of Fusion’s IT and operations functions, including,
  • Compute, Storage and Network infrastructure
  • On-Shore, Off-Shore and Cloud datacentres
  • Communication tools
  • Mobile and Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) security and continuity
  • Software Licensing
• Planning and organising to think ahead, manage time, prioritise, assess risks, and develop efficient approaches to deliver high-quality work on time
• Development and execution of disaster recovery plans and business continuity processes
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and procedures
  • Critical business function applications
  • Email and messaging communications
  • Inter-site networking and connectivity
  • Static and mobile voice communications
  • Fusion’s business premises continuity
• Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users to address hardware, software and network-related issues
• Troubleshoot and fix technical problems promptly and efficiently
• Administer and manage Office 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft Intune and user accounts, group policies, domain controllers, Cloud Platforms, etc
• Identity Management and Access Management to enhance security
• Maintain, optimise and ensure the availability of collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft Intune, etc
• Diagnose and resolve critical IT issues that impact operations
• Proactively implement preventive features to avoid future incidents

Experience

• At least 7-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably in a multi-site organisation.

Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, Active Directory, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Intune, etc
• Familiarity with network protocols, security, and VPN configurations (MFA, Firewall, Anti-Virus, VPN, etc.)
• Good knowledge of data centre management and Remote Deployment
• Good knowledge of Storage Management
• Good to know On-Prem Virtualisation Platform Management (OVH)
• Good to know VSphere, Vcenter, Vmotion etc.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to interact and communicate with diverse teams
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of current IT trends and emerging technologies
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, security, and data protection
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, MCSA, MCSE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
