ServiceNow Automation/Integration Consultant

Job Description:

As an Automation Consultant, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable ServiceNow Automation and Integration solutions that connect various systems and applications to enhance business process efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse and document existing business processes to identify opportunities for automation/integration.
• Design, develop, and implement custom automation solutions using Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Workflow Editor and Workflow Data Fabric.
• Ensure data flows efficiently between systems, automating processes and reducing manual interventions.
• Develop scripts in ServiceNow as needed for complex integration scenarios.
• Implement and test automation solutions and provide training to users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues promptly.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, APIs, and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and deliver solutions.
• Work with clients to identify new automation opportunities and continuously improve existing solutions.
• Guide Juniors and help the Sales team to present Demos and Proof of Concepts.
• Lead by example to deliver the best and help colleagues.

Experience

• 5-6 years of experience working with ServiceNow Automation and Integration technologies.

Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Workflow Editor
• Strong knowledge of automation concepts, Scripted REST APIs, Web Services, Connectors, Workflow Data Fabric, etc.
• Expertise in XML, JSON, REST, SOAP
• MID Server setup and troubleshooting
• Handling authentication mechanisms like OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth and API keys
• Nice to have exposure to tools like Jitterbit, BMC TrueSight Orchestrator (aka Atrium Orchestrator)
• Exposure to ServiceNow Discovery / CMDB Integrations, event-driven integrations
• Nice to have exposure to Moveworks.ai

Skills

• Experience with on-prem and cloud-based automation platforms.
• Experience of working with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with developing complex integrations.
• Experience with security best practices for automation solutions.
• Confident to lead the development and guide juniors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to interact and communicate with customers to drive client value.
• A proven ability to develop positive working relationships in a distributed team and to create effective collaboration with direct and extended team members.
• Accountable for meeting project delivery deadlines and taking ownership of the work.
• Proven ability to work in a pressurised development and customer environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Good to have the following ServiceNow certifications:
  • Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • Flow Designer Micro-Certification
  • Integration Hub Micro-Certification
