About the role

As an Automation Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining various automation solutions connecting different systems and applications to improve the efficiency and productivity of business processes. You will work on challenging automation/integration projects using tools like BMC TrueSight Orchestration, Jitterbit, Automation Anywhere, eBonding (Fusion’s flagship product) and any other relevant technologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and document existing business processes to identify opportunities for automation.
• Design and develop custom automation solutions using various tools and technologies.
• Ensure data flows efficiently between systems, automating processes and reducing manual interventions.
• Utilise integration tools like BMC Truesight Orchestration, Jitterbit, Automation Anywhere, eBonding or similar platforms to build and maintain integration workflows and APIs.
• Develop custom code or scripts as needed for complex integration scenarios.
• Implement and test automation solutions and provide training to users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues promptly.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, APIs, and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and deliver solutions.
• Monitor and maintain automation solutions to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.
• Work with clients to identify new automation opportunities and continuously improve existing solutions.
• Guide Juniors and help the Sales team to present Demos and Proof of Concepts.

Experience

4-7 years of experience working with Automation or Integration technologies.

Knowledge

• Expert knowledge of at least one of the below technologies:
  • BMC TrueSight Orchestration
  • BMC Artrium Orchestrator
  • ServiceNow Orchestrator
  • ServiceNow Automation Engine
  • Jitterbit
  • Automation Anywhere
• Strong knowledge of automation concepts, APIs, Web Services, Connectors, etc.
• Expertise in XML, JSON, REST, SOAP
• Knowledge of Python or Ansible or any other automation technology will be add-on.

Skills

• Experience with on-prem and cloud-based automation platforms.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with developing complex integrations
• Experience with security best practices for automation solutions.
• Confident to lead the development and guide juniors.
• BMC Helix ITSM Knowledge will be preferable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to interact and communicate with customers to drive client value.
• A proven ability to develop positive working relationships in a distributed team and to create effective collaboration with direct and extended team members.
• Accountable for meeting project deliverable deadlines and taking ownership of the work.
• Proven ability to work in a pressurised development and customer environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
